( if she were to hazard a guess, there's likely not a lot of life outside of the city he speaks of- enough so that it doesn't need a name beyond the city because it's the only one.
how... sad.
she doesn't seem to take much offense at the shutdown, though a part of her does wonder why he brought it up then, but... monsters, hm.
she'll just sit on the fact that deadrabbit talks to her sometimes for a bit. there's something more important- )
There are monsters here. I was taken by them at the start of the month. ... I don't remember what happened after I was returned.
( mafuyu nods, and keeps a soft tone throughout the explanation- anything louder than almost a whisper sounds raspy. )
When I first arrived here in August, most of us were trying to explore to get our bearings and hopefully find a way out. The mist is impassable, so a boy and I had tried to search one of the rides- It'z Quite the Large World. At some point- about halfway through it, the sound will cut out and instead of the usual dancing and singing, the animatronics will just stand there... and it looks as if they're asking for help, instead.
The first time I experienced this, I used my phone's flashlight to look into the water- to see if there was anything in it, if it was safe to try and traverse. I saw... what looked like hands crawling up the side of the boat, though they vanished once I shined light on them. I didn't want to go back in there once we were out- and... it feels as if you're in there for much longer than you're supposed to be.
( she pauses, because ow. talking. and... to brace herself. she doesn't seem to realize how her arms wrap around herself. )
At the start of the month, I began doubting what I saw, so I went to investigate on my own- I... don't know what happened to that boy, but not everyone who'd shown up when I did is still here. The sound and everything cut out again, just like last time, so... when I started to feel scared, I sang to myself. Music is something comforting to me. And when I sang... the animatronics were listening. When I had to stop, they started parroting the song back at me while shaking... and the things in the water started to shake the boat.
... The last thing I remember is my voice giving out, and waking up in the lake three days later.
Some advice for you, then. Don't sing to random Abnormalities. [There are so many song-related Abnormalities it's not even funny. Why have you people not learnt to not sing to the scary things?!] It sounds as though whatever you did soothed them for the moment, but when you stopped, it agitated them further — thus, they decided to kidnap you.
When you woke, were you missing anything other than your memory? Anything you entered with such as a flashlight, phone, or even trinkets such as jewellery or money?
( it says something about the situation that mafuyu's getting borderline snippy with adults. even adults who seem to keep forgetting she's not from his world, but she'll ignore that for now since this is all new information for him. at his continued questioning, she closes her eyes and inhales softly before answering. )
Nothing that I recall, but there are three... pinpricks, almost. On the back of my neck. I don't know what they did.
( she even turns around and moves her hair out of the way, swiping it over her shoulder properly.
yesod will find three little pinprick scabs in the shape of a triangle on the back of her neck, but little else. she's taken great care not to agitate things further, at least. )

[And that's... that. That's all he says, deadly serious about this, and he will harp on this if she doesn't say everything he feels he needs to know.]

Still, though, some degree of kindness slips into his voice at the mention of the pinpricks on her neck. Sympathy or some such.]
Can I give it a look? You might be injured, or marked somehow.

I see. Well, the good news is that they don't appear to be infected. ...I'm going to touch the back of your neck to assess something.
[Really, he's looking to see if he can feel something trapped beneath her skin or not. Poke, poke...]

( thankfully, that does not seem to be the case! it's just three, tiny little pinpricks... forming a triangle. nothing ominous here, certainly. )

I don't feel anything underneath your skin. The placement of the injury is weird, but it doesn't seem like anything was implanted in you.
[THANKS, YESOD.]
