[Plucking himself out of a mostly-black lake isn't the weirdest thing to happen to him. So he'd say, anyway, though as far as Abnormalities go, this one seems to be quite troublesome to deal with.
How did he get underwater in the first place?
...
Perhaps that's not the point. Perhaps the point is that there is an Abnormality coming for him, and he needs to swim to the surface and see if he can't get out of this in one piece. He's not a strong swimmer, exactly, and so he barely makes it, kicking off a slimy black hand right as he crawls up onto the shoreline with something of an irritated expression. That expression rather quickly melts away when he sees just where he is.
If he's still in the Facility, he doesn't know where he is within it, which is a problem. There isn't a thing within the Facility that the Information Team captain doesn't know, and when he scans his data banks for additional information... he finds nothing on amusement park-type Abnormalities. Not a single thing.]
Lovely.
[Perhaps this is where you stumble across a man in a full suit and sweater, waterlogged and sitting on the shore, clearly not dressed for a fun time at an amusement park. In fact, he's armed as well, pulling two pistols from his inner blazer pockets and checking them over for water damage...
...shortly before he stands, cocks the black one, and starts firing at the hand reaching out over the embankment.
Normal shit. Just a guy shooting some water. Move along.]

[Yesod is what one might call, "not very familiar with amusement parks". Or perhaps he's "not very fun at parties" or "can't relax for even a second". All of these statements are true, and are about to become abundantly clear to anyone walking by.
He will not get on rides. He refuses, in fact, because he knows better than to put any faith in an anomalous amusement park. Absolutely not happening. The first step to dealing with an Abnormality is not to give into its whims and desires and temptations, to not eat the weird food it offers, and especially to avoid having any fun with it.
(Actually, he wonders briefly if maybe engaging with it might generate energy for the Facility... but he also can't tell if he's even within the Facility anymore. He feels a bit like his connection to the other Sefirot has been cut. So, scrap that thought, back to not having fun.)
He spots you boarding a ride or an attraction or even eating food, whatever you're up to — and he waits, patiently, near the exit of that particular attraction for you to leave. Only then does he speak up, arms crossed and expression flat.]
You shouldn't engage with the Abnormality without proper equipment or mental fortifications in place. [...] What department are you from?

[Amizeth had been catching his breath for the last fifteen minutes give or take on the shore, though he had moved further inland and had removed his coat and bundled it under his arm so he wouldn’t get it dirty… er.
He had planned on finding somewhere to sit and attempt to dry himself off.
That had been his plan.
His plan was quickly derailed at the sound of gunfire. He turned around, and it wasn’t hard to spot someone just shooting into the lake.]
[It's lucky that Yesod doesn't immediately look in Amizeth's direction, or he might have jumped 8 feet into the air and tried to shoot him too. Regardless, the creature he's shooting isn't responding to anything he's doing...
Naturally, the only course of action is to cock the other gun and continue firing. Now he's just dual-wielding. He responds to Amizeth some seconds after he officially stops firing.]
It would appear it's completely ineffective. What class of Abnormality is— [and then, he looks to the side, and up at this tall man,] —it's sucking other Abnormalities into itself?!
[The only sort of acknowledgement to that comment is a cock of his eyebrow and a small tilt of his head. Amizeth, still dripping water from his dip in the lake. He placed his free hand on his hip, giving the little creature in front of him a rather dull stare.]
[He's very wary of Amizeth. Sorry for the fantasy racism here, but no flesh-being Yesod has ever met has had grey skin, unless they've been an Abnormality. There are no elves in the Ruina Series. Sad.
Yesod finds that this thing is immune to both white and black damage, terms that sound like they should be part of D&D but aren't, and then stops shooting and holsters both of the guns.]
[Which would be weird as fuck considering just how the Child was made but like maybe there's a paternal relationship in there somewhere, it's like how all the birds can become a fucking abomination, maybe Yesod needs to keep Amizeth away from the Child before they Steven Universe into one horrifying fucked-up space creature?!]
[ Mizuki, on the other hand, is honestly just here to have a good time. And so that’s what he’s going to do. No (attempted) eating goldfish this time around, just good ol’ fashioned fun. He’s also still soaked from the lake. It’s fine.
He hums a bit to himself after getting off the ride, but halts when it sounds like he is being addressed? Weird. He’s usually ignored so often— ]
Ummm… officially? I’m part of the medical department on paper. Unofficially, I’m just meant to do as I’m told~. Why do you ask? Also, what makes you think I’m not properly equipped~?
["Medical Department"... sounds like someone is taking their role on the Safety Team way too seriously? That or Netzach is using it as a convenient way to get more drugs. The answer at least somewhat-satisfies Yesod, although he can't recall a specific point in time when they've ever had a medical department.]
I ask because, were you to engage with the Abnormality improperly, you could cause a breach. [Or, because this seems to be a stationary entity that has sucked other people inside of it, it might cause breaches outside containment. That would not be good.] You also don't seem to be wearing any sort of gear I recognize. What class of armour is that?
We’re at an amusement park that seems to have spirited us away from our homes with a less than kind intent to keep us here and play with us. Is there something else I should know?
[ Immovable object, meet unstoppable force. Where Yesod looks the picture of "no fun allowed," Floyd represents "all fun allowed." He is absolutely free-spirited and having a great time getting on the rides!
Is he going to let someone he doesn't know ruin that? Absolutely not. ]
Department? Abnormalities? Dunno anything about that.
[Floyd's outfit is a mess...! Fuck the current conversation, what are you doing dressed like that!!]
If you worked in my department, I would penalize you for your state of dress. Or... undress, rather. You look like you rolled out of bed before coming to work.
Right, well... I have what you might call a skin condition, so I prefer to remain covered up.
[It's not that he has a "skin condition", it's that he has hallucinations of having a skin condition, and to him that's just as bad. It interferes with his circuitry enough to cause mental problems, so clothing is the best defense.
It's a good thing he's a robot or else he might get hot, considering the ambient air temperatures are what one would call "perfect for a day at the amusement park".]
[She's coughing and catching her breath on the shore, far too waterlogged, when she hears the shots go off.
Immediately Hod is up, body moving on auto-pilot, instincts that wear on her nerves at this point in her life. Part of her wants to run from what must be a dangerous situation, but if someone's in danger... If they need help...
Her feet are moving before she can think about it anymore. She draws closer, preparing for the worst-
The familiar silhouette isn't one she expects.]
Yesod? How did you- [No, there's no time for that, is there?] Yesod, come away from the water! It could be dangerous!
[Okay, no, this is... this is good. Bad? This is actually very bad, if the other Sefirot are getting sucked into whatever this is, but good that someone here knows what's happening. He wouldn't call Hod the pinnacle of competence, but...
...
He wouldn't call anyone the pinnacle of competence, so you know what. This is fine.
At the very least, listening to the one operating the Training Team is in his best interests, and so — after another useless shot hits the arm of the Abnormality he's trying to "suppress" — he backs off. Onto the shore, where the arm can't drag him back under.]
The other Sefirot aren't with you, are they? [A question he believes he has the answer to already, as he takes up his usual arms-crossed stance.]
hod is the yama chara the way yesod is the wolfie chara
[Worriedly, she clasps her hands in front of her. She's here, but... How much does that help? What can she do?
Yesod is suffering too... but she isn't strong like him.]
But- no, I woke up alone. In the water, actually... [She laughs weakly.] I wasn't even sure if I remembered how to swim, it's been so long... But I made it, somehow.
I did as well, which I'm sure you can see, given my state of dress.
[A waterlogged suit and sweater. And someone normal might have already peeled the layers away, but Yesod has an internal Moment at the thought. Frankly, he'd rather just be sopping wet.]
Was there a breach? How did we get involved in all of this? [They're not employees. They're very much showrunners, and it's not every day that they interact with Abnormalities. Furthermore, Yesod isn't sure how he ended up with an E.G.O. weapon in his pocket.]
