( oh... that's unusual. hm. mafuyu is going to inspect those first- is there anything in the clothes? an id or papers or anything? otherwise. HM!!!! UNSETTLING. )
There are two identical identification cards in the lapel pockets of both; the words are smudged and the ink faded, and the photos have been scratched out. If she looks closely, the faintest outline of AN near the tops of the cards.
There doesn't appear to be any footprints, no! It doesn't seem like there's any trace of the living in here at all, actually, even though the space is set up to house the sick.
going to step away from the clothes and what may or may not be her id, and look around the room again. is there anything in the rubble or rot? anything on the walls? something to distract her from those implications! )
The room itself is bare of anything that stands out, save for one regard.
The mirror, while not the cleanest of glass in the world, had been relatively clear of any sort of visible tampering. While her attention was on the clothing, words have been painted on the surface in what appears to be blue paint. It's fresh, dripping down slowly until it pools on the surface of the desk.
Nothing seems to change at first, and the silence feels like a heavy blanket of smoke lingering in the room. Then, something smears through the drips of paint, and one final word is added in beneath the previous ones. The message remains the same, yet different in ways that feel important.
With a soft clink, the glass of the mirror suddenly cracks. A single hairline fracture runs across the horizontal length of it, jagged and uneven. Despite this, the mirror seemingly stays intact, and does not shatter.
Yet.
Another pause, and then more words slowly begin writing themselves across the glass.
that's not really different than anyplace else to be honest. after a moment, eyeing the crack in the mirror cautiously... she shakes her head.
but the thing is, mafuyu wanted to be a nurse. part of her still does. she wants to help people, and this hasn't changed despite everything. but you can't help people in an abandoned building. )
The crack in the mirror spiderwebs out a bit more, though it seems to be deliberate as it cuts up and across "ɘɿɘʜ," essentially crossing it out as the word "ɘɿɘʜw" appears after "ɘɿA"
