[ For all intents and purposes, Kanade already had a bad feeling about this attraction. After all, if this place is meant to actually hurt them, a house full of mirrors, of showing their reflection.
She waits outside the attraction at first, staring it down, hoping that perhaps she'd see someone familiar -
Although perhaps it'd be better if she didn't see them, though. Even though she should be sticking with Mafuyu...
...Kanade's also a hypocrite.
Which is why after a bit of hesitation, she takes that step forward. It's probably fine, don't worry about it. Feel free to notice the small girl in her track suit walking in. It's probably fine. ]

[ ...until it wasn't.
Sure, she stuck with Mafuyu for a bit, but now she's alone.
There's mirrors upon mirrors upon mirrors and she honestly doesn't know which way to go. There's supposedly a trick to them, isn't there?
Of course, that 'trick' has her completely wound up in the worst way. Auditory hallucinations are the worst when you're a composer that's completely in tune with that sort of thing.
And what makes it worse is how it's coupled with actual visuals and what she does wind up seeing is-- ]
...Dad...?
[ She blinks several times. No, that can't be right. Her father is in the hospital, stuck to a bed, doesn't remember her, it's just not possible...
She turns to the nearest person, in hopes of getting some sort of affirmation. ]
Excuse me, are we... the only ones here?
[ She has to be certain. Even if her ears are ringing with the familiar voice, of words that basically taunt her. She can feel the tremble right down to her fingertips and shaky voice, but Kanade is trying to push that feeling down. ]

[ It takes her many, many mirrors of getting lost, but eventually she finds this one.
It wasn't that Kanade wanted to come back into the mirror house, but rather - she held her concerns. Not to mention, she could have sworn she saw Mafuyu go back in...
She couldn't help it.
She had to do something. Anything. And if her music isn't enough, then--
In she goes. ]

[ Want to play anything else? Kanade can be found around the various mirrors, going in and out several times. This is also the option if you want to play scenarios outside of the mirror event as well! She's generally in the Show-TuneZ Stadium playing her synth, but can potentially be found elsewhere. ]
The mirror seems to ripple before shattering around her, drawing her into a realm of bright lights and dizzying vertigo. The world finally dims enough to allow visibility, and with it comes the reveal that she is no longer within the HouZe of Reflection. Instead, Kanade finds herself standing in what appears to be the foyer of an abandoned mansion. Candy wrappers, noodle packets, and empty aluminum cans litter the ground alongside illegible pages of sheet music. There were once stairs leading up to a second floor, but the wooden steps have long since rotted away, leaving the passage inaccessible.
A massive chandelier lies on the floor, scattered bits of diamond and candlewax strewn about the vicinity, presumably tossed through the space upon impact. Near the chandelier, the shape of a large furnishing item looms beneath a dusty sheet, obscured from view.
The wind sings a forlorn song as it drifts through the gaps of a shattered window, filling the structure with a potent sense of loneliness.
A lot of this feels all like she's been sent to a place similar to hers... but worse.
Kanade frowns, quiet as she takes careful steps to see if she could walk towards the chandelier, perhaps seeing if she could potentially unveil what's under the sheet. ]
The sheet pulls free easily, sending a cloud of dust into the air that makes her nose itch and tingle. Beneath it sits an antique grand piano, the wood stained a familiar shade. It doesn't appear to have been played in some time.
The color is different from any of the pianos she's used to and she can tell it hasn't been played in quite some time. But let's see if it works... she's going to gently press on the middle C note to see what sound comes out of it. ]
It's a rich, vibrant note that sings forth and bleeds into the air. Perfectly tuned and seemingly in great condition despite the outwardly aged appearance. Other than that, no traps are activated, no secret doors unlock... Things seem rather calm, in fact.
There doesn't appear to be anything sinister hiding beneath the shelf of keys... Other than the foot pedals that seem to have faired less well than the rest of the piano itself has. Tucked in between two of them is a folded up wad of paper, which when unfolded reveals a fresh page of sheet music. There are no notes written down on it, and it's completely blank aside from the title penned in at the top in blue ink.
The strokework seems similar to the writing that adorned the IV bag she found upon arrival. Yet there are a few, subtle differences in the overall feeling of the words on the page. While the original was certainly more malicious and cruel, this feels softer. Kinder.
[ Don't like that. Well, let's just put this paper on the piano because she might as well do that. Are there any doors that she can possibly go through? If this is meant to be a mansion, then certainly she can find a way out... ]
There are two grand oak doors that slumber within the wall opposite of the broken chandelier, the wood in a similar state to the rotted staircases. They're big and heavy, but with enough force they could probably be opened.
[Shiemi didn't hear her at first, mostly because she had been too caught up in hearing a distant — but very familiar — cackle. The hair on the back of her head stood up, a cold chill running down her spine, and after a few seconds she blinked and turned to look at her.
When had she gotten here?
When had Shiemi gotten here? How long had she been standing there, just listening?]
[She takes a step closer to her, toying with the sleeves of her kimono anxiously.]
I-I would like that!
[Going through these mirrors alone was bad enough, but having to deal with whatever lay in these particular mirrors… that’s something she didn’t want to face by herself.
[ Should she lead the way since she offered in the first place? Probably. Kanade herself is also pretty scared but since someone else is there, she feels like she should at least try just a little more.
But also unfortunately for everyone involved, she's socially awkward enough not to ask for a name or give our her own immediately. Oops. ]
[Don't worry this is just two socially awkward girls living their worst life currently.
Shiemi gave her a big smile and took her hand. Walking through the mirrors together was probably a better idea if they were at the very least holding onto each other. Shiemi had been alone up until this point, so she didn't really know if it was necessary or not, but it seemed like a good idea.
and then lie after a whole like maybe half a minute holding Kanade's hand she realized that they really hadn't met before and her whole face turns a bright shade of pink.]
M-My name is Shi-Shiemi Moriyama! I-It's nice to meet you — u-um despite the circumstances!
She isn't used to holding onto a stranger's hand, but she won't actually stop Shiemi from doing so, even though there's the briefest hints of surprise with the slight widening of her eyes, the way her mouth gapes for just a second - ]
Mm. Same here. I know it's bad, but... we're in this together.
[Shiemi has never really been the brave one of her friends. She was always the one hiding behind someone else, or the crybaby, or even the one that needed saving. That had always been her, even if she wanted to get stronger and protect her friends.
She was nervous, and the last thing she wanted to do was have Kanade be more anxious than she already was.
So she gave her a big smile and fought the nervousness and fear away the best she can.]
I'm sure we'll find Mafuyu soon! And then we can make our way out of the maze together!
[The relief she felt over the fact that Kanade smiled, even if it was small, was like a bucket of cold water was dumped on her. She was glad that she was able to at least make Kanade feel better, even if it was just a bit.
She turned to look at their options and seeing another green mirror made her squeeze Kanade's hand a bit harder than she intended.
[These are both terrible ideas, but let's be real, neither one of them really wanted to go through another green mirror.
Taking a nap on the sticky floor sounded like a better idea.]
Y... Yeah.
[Taking a deep breath, and with another small squeeze to Kanade's hand, Shiemi walks forward and leads them through the purple mirror, hoping that they don't get separated.]
